The research in our lab is interdisciplinary and we welcome applications from both biologists interested in quantitative techniques and analysis as well as physicists, mathematicians, computer scientists and engineers who want to learn quantitative biology and pursue interesting questions.

Our lab is seeking engineers to bring creative ideas to life. We're looking for talented individuals from Mechanical, Electronics, or Instrumentation backgrounds to build unique systems that will enable pushing the boundaries of science.
Your creations will directly contribute to some of today's most fundamental scientific quests: from understanding how life originates and how living systems are organized, to building physical learning systems and self-replicating machines.
Your skillset could include any/all of the following with a willingness to learn on the go:
- 3D printing and rapid prototyping.
- Designing and building custom circuits.
- Understanding of optics and imaging systems.
- Assembling complex electro-mechano-optical devices.
